Earlier in his career, he held a pivotal role overseeing the U.S. government's security arrangements for prestigious international events like the Olympics and the FIFA World Cup. Additionally, this year brings us Gee Lefevre, a Senior Managing Director in Teneo's Management Consulting division, where he spearheads Teneo's endeavors in the Travel, Leisure, and Hospitality sector. Lefevre is a renowned industry expert with a remarkable resume that includes advising some of the world's foremost airline CEOs and offering support for multi-billion dollar international rail franchise bids. Lastly, there's Ed Bignold, leading Alvarez & Marsal's Travel, Hospitality & Leisure Practice across Europe and the Middle East. Notably, Bignold has played a pivotal role in the industry's most significant M&A transactions, including a recent deal valued at approximately $2.14 billion.

1. Jason Guggenheim
Company: Boston Consulting Group
Title: Managing Director & Senior Partner, Travel & Tourism Global Leader

Jason Guggenheim is a Senior Partner and Managing Director out of BCG’s Atlanta office.
Some of the work that Guggenheim has been involved in includes: transformation and cost restructuring of a large global airline, digital operations and software development in the airline day-of operations space, mobile strategy across several travel verticals, pricing, merchandising and promotional across a range of travel verticals, redesign of comprehensive loyalty program for in cruise, hotel and airline space, restructuring plans for leading global car rental company, and several large global airlines.

In addition, Guggenheim sits on a range of BCG’s people development committees in North America – and led the Recruiting Function in North America from 2016-2022. Before joining BCG in 2001, Guggenheim received an undergraduate degree in Finance and Economics from the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg. He also graduated with a law degree from Oliver Schreiner School of Law at the University of the Witwatersrand. He was global lead of BCG’s Travel and Tourism (T&T) business from 2020 through to 2023, and now leads the newly created Travel Cities and Infrastructure business in North America.

2. Ed Bignold

Title: Managing Director & Partner

Ed Bignold leads A&M’s Travel, Hospitality & Leisure (“THL”) Practice across Europe and the Middle East. Seven years ago, he joined A&M, a 8,000+ person-strong global advisory firm, having previously worked at InterContinental Hotels Group; and founded the THL practice. He and the practice have recently advised some of the sector’s most significant operating transformation programs, including the design and implementation of Accor’s new operating model.

Bignold has also been engaged recently on several of the industry’s largest and most disruptive M&A transactions, including the sale of The Student Hotel (now rebranded The Social Hub) to GIC, in a deal valuing the group at approximately $2.14 billion. Furthermore, he is often engaged to lead market and business strategy engagements across the spectrum of hotels, alternative accommodation, tourism entities and travel and distribution companies.

 

3. Danielle Bozarth

Title: Senior Partner and Global Leader of Travel, Logistics and Infrastructure Practice

Danielle Bozarth is a Senior Partner and Global Leader of Travel, Logistics and Infrastructure Practice at McKinsey & Company, a global management consulting firm. Notably, Bozarth has deep knowledge of the travel, logistics, consumer, and retail industries, including strategy, M&A, business building, digital and commercial topics, and operational transformations. She also brings an extensive and nuanced understanding of the opportunities to provide better consumer experiences and branding in each of these sectors.

Bozarth previously led McKinsey’s consumer private-equity work and Consumer Packaged Goods and Retail Practices for the northeastern United States – advising consumer goods, retail, and consumer-focused private-equity clients on transformations, growth strategies, strategic transactions, and integrations, and a range of marketing topics. Bozarth graduated from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management with an MBA and from Northwestern University with an undergraduate degree in economics.

 

4. Sooho Choi

Sooho Choi is the Practice Leader for the Travel, Hospitality & Leisure (THL) industries group at global management consultancy Alvarez & Marsal. He has led numerous business transformation programs, including digital and customer experience initiatives, data strategies and integrations, commercial and operational improvements, new business line creation, and technology modernizations at many of the world’s leading travel brands across hospitality and aviation. His experience also spans the globe with significant projects in Europe, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East.

Choi’s domain experience includes: Property Management, Travel Distribution, Group Sales, Revenue Management, Loyalty, and Digital Channels. 5. Paul Newman

Newman has 23 years of experience. He joined the company in 2000. He has significant experience and expertise in advising private equity backed businesses and understands the unique challenges and opportunities they face. 6. Alan Tantleff

Title: Senior Managing Director, Leader of Hospitality, Gaming & Leisure

Alan Tantleff leads FTI Consulting’s Hospitality, Gaming & Leisure Practice, assisting clients facing complicated challenges. During his career, Tantleff has advised boards of directors, CEOs, lenders, borrowers and other stakeholders on numerous high-profile hospitality matters. This includes being involved in most of NYC’s high-profile hotel insolvency matters, including The Williamsburg Hotel, Edition and Crowne Plaza Times Square, and Ritz Carlton Battery Park City. In a landmark case, Tantleff testified for the Mark Hotel’s owners that a poorly constructed foreclosure auction was not commercially reasonable.

Tantleff was appointed Chief Restructuring Officer and interim President of bankrupt Eagle Hospitality Trust, a Singapore-listed REIT with interests in 18 U.S. hotels. He also leads FTI Consulting’s pro bono efforts for Friends of Firefighters. Furthermore, Tantleff will co-chair Cornell University’s 41st Annual Real Estate Conference. He is a member of the Turnaround Management Association and is an NYS court-approved real estate receiver, a licensed real estate broker, and a Certified Insolvency and Restructuring Advisor. Tantleff earned his undergraduate degree in Hotel Management, School of Hotel Administration from Cornell University and an MS in Real Estate Investment and Development from New York University.

 

7. Andreas Scriven

Andreas Scriven is a Partner and Head of Hospitality & Leisure For Deloitte UK and Deloitte North South Europe based in the firm’s London office. He has extensive consultancy and M&A experience across the UK, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and the USA. As a member of both the UK Travel, Hospitality & Services Executive and the Consumer NSE Exec, he is responsible for shaping the Hospitality & Leisure agenda, as well as working with the firm's global network.

Furthermore, he headed up the Consultancy service line across the firm. Scriven previously worked for both Arthur Andersen and Deloitte across the US and Europe; and has operational hotel experience in Hong Kong, the USA and Europe. He is a graduate of Cornell's School of Hotel Administration. He also speaks fluent German and Swiss German.

 

8. Karthik Venkataraman

Title: Partner

Karthik Venkataraman is a leader in Bain's Travel & Leisure and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion practices. He is also an expert in the firm’s Change Management and Implementation and Organization practices. Venkataraman has more than 15 years of industry and consulting experience. He previously worked in Bain’s London and Singapore offices. Venkataraman is a deep expert in Travel & Leisure, having previously led Bain's Airline Practice in the Americas. He also has previous experience in Hospitality, Cruises, Theme Parks.

Prior to joining Bain in 2007, Venkataraman worked in the technology space at SAP. He earned an MBA from the Wharton School, where he graduated as a Palmer Scholar. He also earned an MA in international studies with distinction from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies and a bachelor's in history with high honors from Princeton University.

 

9. Jean Chick

Title: Principal, US Restaurant & Food Service Leader

Jean Chick is Deloitte’s Restaurant & Food Service Industry Leader and has served as the Lead Consulting Partner for multi-national restaurant and food service companies. She has advised her clients with technology and digital customer transformations, revenue generation management driving margin improvement and real estate strategy and technology. She is a former member of the Board of Directors for the Women’s Foodservice Forum.

Notably, Chick has navigated complex financial and operational issues while balancing change management and critical strategic considerations to maximize return on investments. She has played important roles in successful shared service center implementations in Europe and Real Estate IT system selection. She has led large global real estate technology implementations including IBM TRIRIGA. Her prior audit partner experience brings a pragmatic and financial outcome-based approach to client engagements. 10. Umar Riaz

Warren Marr began his professional career 37 years ago. Today, he is the Managing Director of PwC. At PwC, their purpose is to build trust in society and solve important problems. Experienced in both operations and consulting within the hospitality industry, Marr leads many of the sector's larger business advisory engagements across the country for PwC, with a focus on corporate strategy and business planning, restructuring and repositioning, and portfolio transaction analysis.

For Marr, additional areas of expertise include: lodging REIT/TRS lease structuring, management oversight, loyalty program analyses, project concept development, and contract analysis and support. Marr got his start in 1986 as an executive manager at The Latham Hotel at Lincoln Property Company, his most recent position prior to joining PwC. Marr holds the CRE and CCIM designations for commercial real estate. He is also an active member of the Urban Land Institute's Hotel Development Council, previously serving as its Vice Chair - Membership. Marr graduated from the University of New Hampshire with an undergraduate degree in hotel administration.

 

13. Kumar Paramasivam

14. Radhika Papandreou

Radhika Papandreou is the Managing Partner at Korn Ferry’s Chicago office. In addition, she leads the Firm’s North American Travel, Hospitality and Leisure practice. Papandreou is also a core member within the Board and CEO Services practice, where she focuses on CEO succession and board recruitment. Prior to Korn Ferry, Papandreou was at a large executive search firm, where she was managing director and global head of its Hospitality and Leisure practice and a core partner within the board practice. Papandreou specializes in C-Suite and Board placements and has managed large scale client projects including bankruptcies, turnarounds, spin-offs and M&A.

Previously, Papandreou had an 18-year career in corporate banking, most recently as managing director and Head of the Consumer and Healthcare practice for Lloyds Bank North America. Prior to that she was a senior banker at BBVA. She began her banking career at Citigroup working within the corporate and investment bank in both New York and London. Away from Korn Ferry, Papandreou is a National Trustee of the Boys and Girls Clubs of America. She is also a member of the Arogya World Board of Directors. Papandreou earned a BA with a dual major in International Affairs & Economics from the Johns Hopkins University. She later received an MBA from New York University’s Stern School of Business.

 

15. Will Hawkley

Title: Global Head of Travel & Leisure

Will Hawkley began his professional career 33 years ago. Today, he is the Global Head of Travel & Leisure of KPMG, which operates from 20 offices across the UK with approximately 17,000 partners and staff. Notably, Hawkley joined KPMG in 2001 to develop KPMG’s presence in the leisure sector as part of the business development team. His accounts include TUI, Ladbrokes Coral, Playtech, GVC, Whitbread, IHG, William Hill. He also works across the TMT sector with clients such as TalkTalk, DMGT and BSkyB. With 20 years experience, Hawkley works closely with industry bodies such as the ALMR and the BHA; and organizes KPMG’s bi annual pub and restaurant, gaming, tour operator and hotel sector FD dinners.

Before joining KPMG, Hawkley was a National Account Controller at Anheuser-Busch Europe, the world’s biggest brewer, working with brands such as Budweiser. He has also managed a number of sectors, including Specialists and Convenience, Cash & Carry, Carlsberg-Tetley and Mitchells and Butlers. Hawkley additionally worked on a large sales and operations planning project at Anheuser-Busch leading the sales input into the change management program. In addition, during his time at AB, Hawkley helped develop and deliver Account Management and Negotiation sales training programmes. Prior to Anheuser-Busch, Hawkley worked in National Account Manager roles for Ross Young’s, a division of United Biscuits and for Master Foods, a division of Mars UK in the foodservice and pub retailing sectors.

 

16. David Trunkfield

Title: Partner

David Trunkfield is a Partner at PwC UK. He first joined the company in 2001 as director. PwC’s purpose is to build trust in society and solve important problems. They’re a network of firms in 156 countries with over 295,000 people who are committed to delivering quality assurance, advisory and tax services. Notably, Trunkfield leads the PwC UK Hospitality, Travel and Leisure industry, is its global Gaming leader and a strategy partner. He has advised a wide range of companies across this dynamic industry as well as Private Equity firms looking to invest.

Trunkfield has experience across the full breadth of sectors from fitness clubs, pubs, restaurants, sports, betting and gaming, travel and tourism, hotels, cinema to theater. His particular interests lie in the impact of digital technology on business models, how to harness digital to transform, the impact of regulation on corporates, governments and regulators and growth strategy – especially expansion into new geographies or markets. Previously, Trunkfield was an engagement manager at The COBA Group. Trunkfield earned an MA in philosophy, politics and economics from the University of Oxford.

 

17. Matthew Dumpert

Matthew Dumpert is a Managing director and leads Kroll's Security Risk Management practice, based in New York. Kroll is a company with a team of more than 6,500 professionals worldwide who are continuing the firm’s nearly 100-year history of trusted expertise spanning risk, governance, transactions and valuation. Prior to joining Kroll, Dumpert excelled as a U.S. Diplomat, Special Agent and Regional Security Officer with the U.S. Department of State’s Diplomatic Security Service. Earlier in his career, he oversaw the U.S. government’s long-range bilateral offerings related to security, law enforcement, emergency preparedness, crisis response and intelligence collaboration for high-profile international events such as the Olympics and the FIFA World Cup.

Previously, Dumpert was also a member of the Regional Security Office at the U.S. Embassy in Dublin, Ireland. Prior to that, he was a senior member of the Regional Security Office in the remote and disconnected areas of Al-Hillah, Iraq. Additionally, Dumpert was Special Agent in Charge of high-threat protective details, to include high-profile and undercover/low-profile protective operations, supervising more than 500 Protective Security Specialists. Dumpert holds a B.A. in international studies from American University.

 

18. Siva Ganesan

Title: Global Head of the Travel, Transportation and Hospitality Unit

Siva Ganesan is the Global Head of the Travel, Transportation and Hospitality Unit of Tata Consultancy Services, an IT services, consulting and business solutions organization that has been partnering with many of the world’s largest businesses in their transformation journeys for over 55 years. In his current role, Ganesan, runs one of the fastest-growing and most diverse industry units within TCS. Until recently, he was the Global Head of the Assurance Services Unit at TCS.

19. Michael Gottlieb

Olivardia graduated from the University of Central Florida with an MS in taxation and an undergraduate degree in business administration.

 

21. John Logan

John Logan began his professional career 43 years ago. Today, he is the Managing Director and Lead for Marsh's Restaurant Industry Practice. Gee Lefevre is a Senior Managing Director in Teneo’s Management Consulting division, where he leads Teneo’s work in Travel, Leisure, and Hospitality – as well as providing broader advisory on economics, demand, and consumer behavior to a wide range of industries and public bodies. Lefevre is an expert on how macroeconomic, geopolitical, and cultural factors influence consumers’ behavior, movement, and demand for products and services. 23. Miguel Flecha

Miguel Flecha is a Managing Director at Accenture, responsible for their Travel & Hospitality industry practice in Europe. Tausif Khiani leads Capgemini’s Hospitality Industry Portfolio.
